Danica G. Hays (Education) co-authored an empirical study titled, "Assessing and Addressing Social Determinants of Mental Health in Counseling: A Grounded Theory Investigation," which was published in the Journal of Counseling & Development. She and co-authors developed a counseling model that helps professionals better address the social and cultural factors influencing client mental health.
