The Nevada Taxpayers Association (NTA) voted to welcome Constance Brooks Johnson (Government and Community Engagement) to its Board of Directors. Her appointment is for a three-year term, ending Dec. 31, 2028.
As a member of the NTA Board of Directors, Brooks Johnson will play a vital role in shaping the organization’s work and establishing fiscal policies.
Established in 1922, the NTA is one of the oldest research and advocacy organizations. The statewide non-profit 501(c)(4) is a non-partisan organization supported by a diverse membership base, including businesses of all sizes, individuals, associations, and governmental entities.
NTA goals are to:
- Develop and promote sound fiscal policies that support Nevada’s economic well-being.
- Foster a user-friendly environment for all Nevadans.
- Ensure efficiency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility in Nevada’s state and local governments.
Brooks Johnson’s appointment aligns with the intersection of government affairs and state fiscal policy, and will benefit her work at UNLV and the communities served by the university.
