On Sept. 30, the Harrah College of Hospitality hosted an interdisciplinary seminar with faculty and students from Hospitality, Engineering, and the School of Medicine, demonstrating how the college's PGA Golf Management Center can serve as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration in sport performance and entertainment.
School of Medicine students presented holistic interventions to help PGA Golf Management students improve targeted movements. At the same time, Engineering showed how biomechanics data can be modeled to support predictive analysis in golf and, eventually, other sports. The group welcomed circus entertainers to a panel discussion focused on injury prevention.
The interdisciplinary team will present at the 2026 UNLV Interdisciplinary Research Symposium and has two manuscripts in development.
