Honors: Cheryl Sgovio

Cheryl Sgovio (Thomas & Mack Center) was presented with the prestigious President's Award at the Las Vegas chapter of the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) Annual Awards and Installation Dinner in November. A member of the Las Vegas chapter of NACE since its inception in January 2000, she was selected from more than 100 members to receive the award. Criteria for the award include:

  • devoting time and energy
  • going above and beyond expectations and making the chapter better
  • supporting others in the chapter
  • attending chapter meetings regularly
  • volunteering on the board, with committees and/or special projects
  • involving themselves in chapter programs and meetings
  • giving exemplary levels of support, leadership, and involvement in chapter programs and meetings
  • showing overall commitment to promoting NACE and its Las Vegas chapter.
