Assistant professor Shengjie (Patrick) Zhai, Ph.D., (Electrical and Computer Engineering) has been named a recipient of the Young Innovator Award at Advanced Biomanufacturing (ABioM) 2026 by the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES). The award is presented in recognition of excellence in research, scientific presentation, and innovation in advanced biomanufacturing. Zhai was recognized for his innovative work on next-generation drug delivery and biomanufacturing, spanning from microscale to large scale.
