The Theta Omicron chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at UNLV Lee Business School has earned Gold Chapter status for the 2025–26 academic year. The chapter received international recognition at Beta Alpha Psi's 2026 annual meeting in Baltimore, Maryland.
Gold Chapter status recognizes chapters that exceed the organization's standard requirements for professional development, community service and outreach. To qualify, chapters must complete at least 12 professional development activities, six service activities and 11 outreach activities, along with additional organizational requirements.
Founded in 1994, UNLV's Theta Omicron chapter is part of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honor organization for students and professionals in accounting, finance, business technology and analytics. The chapter helps students prepare for careers through networking opportunities, visits with local firms, professional presentations, community service and leadership experiences.
One example of the chapter's work is Ready, Set, Hired!, a student-led professional development workshop designed to help Lee Business School students navigate the recruiting process. Beta Alpha Psi members organize the event to help fellow students strengthen their resumes, practice elevator pitches and participate in mock interviews ahead of networking opportunities such as Employers' Night.
The Gold Chapter recognition adds to the chapter's record of achievement, which includes Platinum Chapter honors in 2024 and 2025.
Under the guidance of faculty advisor Tammy Perri, the chapter continues to provide opportunities for students to connect classroom learning with professional experience.
Congratulations to the Theta Omicron chapter's student members, leadership team and faculty advisor on this recognition.
