Alice Weber (Medicine) presented "Massage as a Form of Neuromodulation to Improve Motor Control in Parkinson's Disease" at the 2026 NYC Neuromodulation Conference. This research investigates the neuromodulatory influence of massage on cortical beta dynamics associated with Parkinsonian motor states. Collaborators with Weber include Dr. Anne Weisman (Medicine); Dr. G. A. DeAndrea, MD (Medicine, UNLV Health); medical student volunteers at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine; and community partners. The project is supported by a $10,000 GSRA research grant.
