Alexa Bejinariu (Criminal Justice) and colleague Shawn Flanigan (School of Public Affairs, San Diego State University) published the research article "Human trafficking risks in countries unaccustomed to migration: Romanian assistance providers’ experiences with conflict-affected migrants from Ukraine" in the European Journal of Criminology. The article enhances our understanding of humanitarian aid providers' abilities to address human trafficking in countries unaccustomed to mass migration flows, as a result of regional conflicts.
