Aidy Weeks (Libraries) is the co-author of a chapter, "Virtual Chat and Chew: Radical Self-Care for BIPOC Information Professionals," published in the book, Leadership Wellness and Mental Health Concerns in Higher Education. The chapter explores the formation of a weekly virtual forum known as the “Chat & Chew” by the members of the African American Medical Librarians Alliance (AAMLA) Caucus of the Medical Library Association during the COVID-19 pandemic and offers best practices that made the program sustainable for the future. Weeks is the director of the UNLV School of Medicine Library serving the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV.
