The Advising Center provides guidance for all undergraduate students in the School of Nursing, the School of Community Health Sciences, and the School of Allied Health Sciences.

Incoming Freshmen

Incoming Freshmen must register for the following courses in their first semester at UNLV:

Advising services for applicants are not provided. However if you need clarification about the application process you may contact the appropriate graduate coordinator.

Admissions, Matriculation, and Graduation Requirements

Graduate coordinators are the primary point of contact for graduate education and graduate students in the academic departments. Graduate coordinators provide oversight of admissions, matriculation, and graduation requirements for graduate students in their departments.

MHA Academic Program Requirements

Students at the graduate level are advised by the Graduate Coordinator for assistance in developing an academic course plan and completion of the capstone. Students should schedule and appointment for advising with the Graduate Coordinator during their first semester. As part of the advising process, students should complete the Proposed Master and Specialist Degree Program forms Part 1 and Part 2. MHA students are required to complete either HCA 779 Health Care Administration Capstone or HCA 794 Health Care Administration Professional Paper as part of their culminating experience.

MPH-HCA Academic Program Requirements
