The Nevada Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UNLV
We proudly offer no-cost and confidential business advising, training, and resources to entrepreneurs and those who are starting a business. Connect with us to help get your business started, serve your clients, create job opportunities, and acquire value.
The Expansion and Development Assistance Program aims to support small and medium-sized hospitality and entertainment businesses in Clark County. In addition to receiving supplies and services, participants who are accepted into the program are eligible to receive technical assistance of up to $10,000 on a case-by-case basis.
RebelForge is a student-supporting initiative by the Nevada SBDC and the UNLV Office of Economic Development. The initiative aims to provide mentorship, guidance, and support to UNLV students so they can expand their knowledge, access funding, and leverage the facilities managed by the Office of Economic Development.
Led by students, the UNLV Free Cyber Clinic offers cybersecurity measures to small businesses to help protect them against cybercrime. Our students will work with your organization to fortify your computer systems and reduce the risk of security/information breaches.
The UNLV Sports Innovation Institute
The UNLV Sports Innovation Institute aims to be the central hub for sports research, education, innovation, and economic development. The institute offers the opportunity for collaboration among industry executives, faculty members, organizations, and entrepreneurs to tackle unique industry challenges and drive the future of sport.
The UNLV Innovation Incubator
The UNLV Innovation Incubator is a student program that supports the inventions of students from inception to commercialization. Program participants receive support and mentorship during three critical phases: ideation, where they develop their brightest ideas; incubation, where they give more shape to their ideas and refine it for viability; and acceleration, where they plan to showcase their inventions to the public.
Scarlet Capital
Scarlet Capital is an initiative that will invest in startups that possess strong teams, deliver innovative technology, demonstrate a feasible path to scale, and have traction through proven customer demand. The initiative will pull from a $25 million fund for startups that have ties to UNLV.
Black Fire Innovation
Black Fire Innovation is our state-of-the-art lab located at the Harry Reid Research and Technology Park. Our facilities feature modern hospitality, gaming, and entertainment technology and amenities that organizations can utilize through partnerships or rent for event/work spaces.
The Makerspace at Black Fire is a collaborative workspace that provides resources to members of the Las Vegas community. We welcome you to work with the Makerspace team to receive project consultations, create branding and marketing collateral, collaborate on prototyping/fabrication, and make use of our equipment.
