Students Should:

  1. Log into the DRC Portal each semester to request accommodations for the courses where testing services are needed.
  2. Meet privately with each instructor to discuss their approved accommodations.
  3. Note that exams for the entire semester, including final exams, can be scheduled during one or multiple login sessions.
  4. Note that if changes need to occur after scheduling an exam the student should log into the DRC Portal and modify the test request.
  5. Check in at the Disability Resource Center (DRC) proctor station no sooner than 15 minutes prior to the exam start time and no later than 15 minutes past the exam start time.
  6. Bring a photo ID to the test.
  7. Note that at any time during the semester the student can log into the DRC Portal to view their upcoming scheduled exams.

Faculty Should:

  1. Meet privately with the student(s) to discuss accommodations.
  2. Click on the link in the Faculty Notification Letter (FNL) to fill out the testing contract (TAF). Only one TAF per section is needed, even if there are multiple DRC students in that section.
  3. Upload the exam upon receiving an email that a student has requested an exam.
  4. Look at these helpful Faculty Tutorials if there are any questions.

The DRC will:

  1. Approve exam requests based on the TAF.
  2. Ensure the security of all exams, tests, and quizzes.
  3. Administer exams, tests, and quizzes following the requests communicated by instructors, with accommodations determined by the student’s disability specialist.
