Mid-Semester Courses

In Spring 2024, mid-semester course instruction starts on Monday, April 1st, 2024. Typically, these courses span five weeks of instruction, concluding after Study Week and preceding the beginning of full semester final exam week. However, it is important to note that certain mid-semester courses extend by an additional week, spanning through the full semester final exam week. It is advisable to verify the course dates in MyUNLV before enrolling.

As in prior semesters, these classes should include a minimum of 750 minutes of classroom instruction per credit. Mid-semester courses are designed, approved, and built within academic departments and colleges. This process should be completed as soon as possible to allow for proper scheduling and advertising. Each department will need to complete the employment documents for its courses. (Note: If you have questions regarding a mid-semester course, please contact the host academic department/college. The only course that is coordinated by the Academic Success Center is COLA 100E: First-Year Seminar.)
