It was the warm summer of 2022 when Ms. Monét finally got to dive into the world of radio. 

 

As a professional performer and entertainer since her teen years, her expertise in making people smile has never been a chore. Plus, she holds a natural charisma and outstanding personality that makes her a perfect fit to be an on-air talent on KUNV. 

Monét was born to be a singer. She immediately knew she wanted to pursue a career in it for the rest of her life after winning her first talent show as a child. However, a striking fascination with the radio always resided within her. Fortunately for Ms. Monét, she came across Dr. Ashton Ridley (KUNV’s General Manager) and gained the opportunity to live out her dream of being a radio personality.

 

Just like her colleagues, the shining thing about Ms. Monét is that she doesn’t need to bring out a different side of herself to present to her listeners. The “radio” personality is simply just her personality. She is incredible at staying true to her authentic self and remains passionate that others do the same. 

 

Alongside being able to connect with listeners all over the city, Monét loves that she gets to merge her two worlds, music and air personality, through the radio. She enjoys learning more from her friends and other personalities at the station. 

 

On another hand, Monét holds other ambitious goals like starting her own podcast where she’d put her psychology expertise to use and helping people understand themselves. She also says she’d want to start an interior design company with her mother.

 

“My mom is so brilliant at making things beautiful,” she said. She’d love to help her mom live out that dream. Ms. Monét knows how to find the beauty within music and share it amongst others.
