Adrianne Dizon is pursuing her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Science Education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). She is a  Rebel alumna, having earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with minors in Neuroscience and Family Studies. Her path toward science education was shaped by her experiences teaching for the Honors College and working as a biology/chemistry Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader with the Academic Success Center. Building on that foundation, her research now focuses on how students develop fundamental literacy skills and create scientific applications using artificial intelligence (AI) within the university setting.

Beyond her studies, Adrianne works full-time for the UNLV University Libraries as the Stewardship and Engagement Coordinator, where she enjoys engaging with donors and creating transformative experiences for students and alumni. She is a strong advocate for the Libraries, encouraging students to take advantage of resources like Dreamscape, Makerspace, and Multimedia Studios. She promotes Library events which foster engagement, critical thinking, and a sense of belonging. Her work complements her AI research in meaningful ways, as libraries have long served as information hubs and places for creativity and innovation.  She has also completed the Mentorship Microcredential through the Grad Academy and served as a mentor for the Graduate Mentoring Excellence, Nurturing Talents, Opportunities, and Resources for Success (MENTORS) program, supporting newly admitted students. She is currently completing the Research Microcredential, aiming to present her research at the national level.
