German Club

Willkommen! The German Club shares an interest in the culture of German-speaking Europe: we welcome UNLV students and alumni, faculty, staff and community friends.

Activities include:

  • The weekly Stammtisch conversation table, where we practice speaking in a relaxed, casual environment.
  • Monthly events, such as dinners at local restaurants, film and game evenings, and holiday festivities that showcase culture in many ways.
  • Special events with other World Language clubs, where we gather to celebrate the languages and cultures of the world.

We’re on Facebook at UNLV German Club. Like the page today to keep up to date on upcoming club events, as well as news and information about the German-speaking world.

Italian Club

The recently formed Italian Club has a series of exciting initiatives in store for UNLV students and members of the Las Vegas community, among them:

  • Tavola Italiana will allow you to practice your Italian in an informal environment with Italian teachers, native speakers, and other students, and discuss a variety of cultural topics and events that relate to Italy.
  • Italian Cinema Series will show six films per semester, classic and contemporary movies, comedies, and dramas that explore specific aspects of Italian life. All films are in Italian with English subtitles.
  • Italian Culinary Evenings will offer you the opportunity to learn how to prepare some Italian dishes, and learn about the history and culture of the region that produced them.
  • Festa Italiana will celebrate the end of the semester, through a party open to both students and any other interested persons, where you can enjoy lots of food while listening to Italian music and watching videos about Italy.
