Jackie Hwang

Jackie Hwang, '04 BA Communication Studies, is Jucee Liu on HOT 97.5 KVEG. Southern Nevadans can listen to her on the air from 3 to 7 p.m. She has been with the radio station since 2003. She says her 2-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter keep her busy. Photography and dance are her hobbies.

Timothy Rainey

Timothy Rainey, '04 BA Communication Studies, moved back to the West Coast last year to become program director for Entercom Communications' Top 40 station KDND-FM "107.9 The End" and hot adult contemporary station KUDL-FM "Star 106.5". As a teenager living in Reno, he regularly listened to KDND on frequent trips to the Bay Area. Before moving to California, he spent four years as program director of CBS Radio's Top 40 station WDZH-FM "98.7 AMP Radio" in Detroit. Recently he got back into snowboarding and can be caught at Lake Tahoe riding fresh powder. He lives in Sacramento.

Dianna Ballash

Dianna Ballash, '04 BA Communication Studies, works for a local government agency in the Portland, Oregon, area supporting communications and policy initiatives. Previously, she worked for the Las Vegas Valley Water District and Southern Nevada Water Authority for nearly a decade. She wrote and produced a water-conservation themed television program and supported a variety of water-related projects. She is married to Joseph McLaughlin, '04 BS Business Administration, who works for an investment company. He previously worked for Greenspun Media and for several national financial services firms. The couple celebrates their 10-year wedding anniversary this year. They have twin sons and a daughter. The family lives in Beaverton.  

Michael Frezell

Michael Frezell, '95 BA Communication Studies, was promoted to communications manager for the Michigan Department of Transportation in 2014. He supervises staff, writes press releases, and publishes a weekly legislative newsletter. He also answers media inquiries related to rail, public transit, aeronautics, and other topics. He says he loves his job because it combines his educational background with his passion for transportation. He has been married 12 years. The couple has two dogs and two parrots. He is an avid train enthusiast and president of the Lansing Model Railroad Club, which is working on moving and saving an historic, two-story railroad structure called the Michigan Avenue Tower. Once the tower is moved, the club plans to restore it and use it as a "living history" piece. The couple enjoys traveling around Michigan in their new teardrop travel trailer. They live in Lansing.  

Lisa Allen Chastain

Lisa Allen Chastain, '03 BA Communication Studies, is associate advisor for Surevest Wealth Management, an independent registered investment advisor. She holds the FINRA Series 65 and insurance licenses and is a candidate for her certified financial planner (CFP) designation. She advises clients on socially responsible and impactful investing. She volunteers as a Life Coach at Choice Center Leadership University, coaching participants in the areas of accountability, responsibility, team work, and community service. She also is a volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement, Southern Nevada; works closely with Three Square; and is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners where she serves on the Business Development Committee. In her spare time she coaches and creates unique curated events for local singles with Love Frogkisser. Her hobbies include volunteering, anything vegan, attending music festivals with friends, and spending time with loved ones. She also enjoys attending her son's soccer games.  

Tiffannie Bond

Tiffannie Bond, '98 BA Communication Studies, works as the public relations coordinator and company photographer at Imagine Communications. She also is the director of the Winchester Star Catchers Dance Program for Clark County Parks and Recreation.
