Our Model of Care and What to Expect
We are innovative in our intentional embrace of interdisciplinary teamwork. We honor the unique contributions of diverse mental health professions and integrate their expertise in service of what is best for each person we serve. With this backdrop, we offer three care options that suit a variety of needs.
Individual/Group Counseling and Therapy Services
If you are interested in counseling and therapy, you will begin by contacting our clinic and speaking with a member of our team to discuss your concerns, goals, and needs. This will allow us to determine whether our clinic is likely to be a good fit. Those who proceed are scheduled for an initial intake appointment. Our interdisciplinary care team will then collaborate to develop evidence-based recommendations that are individualized, thoughtful, and grounded in best practices to support the best possible outcomes. Recommendations may include individual therapy, participation in one of our group therapy offerings, further evaluation, or referral to additional services in the community.
Specialty Clinics
Our specialty clinics focus on assisting individuals who are seeking a psychological assessment or a more focused treatment approach.
Psychological assessment is a comprehensive, standardized process used to better understand an individual’s strengths, challenges, and functioning. Results inform diagnosis, treatment planning, and decision-making across settings such as healthcare, education, and employment.
Affordable, evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help adults in the Las Vegas community reduce the impact of trauma and anxiety-related concerns, including PTSD. Through thoughtful assessment and personalized care—provided in person or via telehealth—the STAR team supports clients in reducing distress, building resilience, and improving overall quality of life.
Provides assessment and treatment for children and adolescents ages 5–16 experiencing school refusal and anxiety-related concerns. Working collaboratively with families—and, when appropriate, schools—the clinic offers individualized and group-based care aimed at reducing distress and supporting a successful return to consistent school attendance.
A coordinated specialty care program for young people at high risk for developing psychosis, offering early, individualized support grounded in each client’s strengths and goals. Through integrated clinical care, family education, peer support, and educational and vocational services, CHARGE UP helps clients build skills, resilience, and pathways toward long-term wellbeing.
Partnerships and Networks
UNLV PRACTICE partners with organizations across the community to collaboratively design and deliver contract-based programs that expand access to high-quality mental and behavioral health care.
