About the Program

CHARGE UP is a strengths-based, outpatient treatment program designed for young individuals between the ages of 12 and 25 who are at high risk for developing psychosis. Early identification of risk combined with effective interventions can change lives!

Who Can Benefit from the Program

CHARGE UP benefits those who may be experiencing the following:

  • Feeling like your eyes/ears/mind is playing tricks on you
  • Feeling confused about what is real and what is not
  • Feeling suspicious of other people
  • Feeling more anxious, depressed, or out of touch
  • Becoming overly fixated on certain ideas that other people may not
  • A decline in school/work/social functioning
  • A decline in self-care/personal hygiene
  • Withdrawal from friends and family

How We Can Help

As a coordinated specialty care program, CHARGE UP provides a variety of clinical treatments and services based on the unique needs and strengths of each client. CHARGE UP aims to help clients build awareness and skills to optimize:

  • Thinking, communication, and daily functioning through performance optimization
  • Relationships and understanding through family education
  • Physical and psychological wellbeing through pharmacotherapy
  • Access to resources and services through case management
  • Social and community connection through peer support
  • Future goals and opportunities through education and employment support

Eligibility

Participants must be residents of southern Nevada and between the ages of 12 and 25. Medicaid is accepted and a sliding scale is available. To inquire about enrollment, contact 702-895-5555 or charge-up@unlv.edu.
