Workers' compensation is a state-mandated benefit that covers employees for work-related injuries and illnesses, regardless of fault in most cases. The specific benefits received will depend on the details of the claim.
The NSHE Workers' Compensation Office manages the workers' compensation program for UNLV employees by providing information and support regarding:
- Claims Reporting and Forms: Guidance on filing claims and completing required documentation
- Workers' Compensation Benefits: Details about eligible benefits for injured workers
- Medical Treatment: Information on obtaining medical treatment and approved medical centers
- Return to Work: Support for employees returning to work with medical restrictions
