Innovation and Academic Excellence
Immersive Learning Initiatives: Dreamscape Learn
UNLV is committed to revolutionizing education through innovative immersive learning initiatives that empower students to engage, create, and connect in transformative ways. By implementing Dreamscape Learn, we aim to cultivate an enriching learning environment that bridges technology and creativity. Dreamscape Learn, a 4,000-square-foot virtual reality space located in Lied Library, operates in partnership with the University Libraries, the Office of Teaching and Learning Innovation, and the Office of Information Technology.
STEAM Education
Science, engineering, and technology plays an important role in improving population well-being and addressing numerous current and future challenges. We are committed to changing the STEAM journey for many students traditionally underrepresented in these fields, and want to create a more responsive teaching and learning STEAM context for UNLV.
President’s Innovation Challenge
The President’s Innovation Challenge is a multidisciplinary team competition that encourages social and business entrepreneurship to help solve major problems of our day in Southern Nevada and beyond.

Institutional Effectiveness
Operational Excellence Council
The Operational Excellence Council is dedicated to fostering efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement at UNLV. Working with diverse stakeholders, the Council guides efforts to streamline and improve university operations for the benefit of the students, faculty, and staff.
Events Toolkit
The President’s office has collaborated with campus experts to create an A to Z guide on event planning at UNLV. Designed for the faculty member organizing a professional conference, the executive assistant overseeing a retirement reception, or the student affairs coordinator setting up a campus-wide festival, the guide provides detailed insights for every stage of event planning at the university.

The Institutional Engagement & Experience Initiative strives to foster conditions for a cohesive, welcoming, and engaging campus environment.
One UNLV Listening Tour
The Listening Tour is a campuswide initiative designed to engage students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners in open dialogue about the future of UNLV. Over the course of this tour, feedback will be gathered through group listening sessions and comments submitted online.
Shared Governance
To promote shared governance, the President’s office engages in dialogue and consultation with a variety of campus partners. The input of UNLV’s talented faculty and staff is critical to fulfilling the university’s mission.
Wellness
The President’s office supports the health and well-being of the members of the campus community and encourages school- and work-life balance. Multiple campus units provide resources and services to help faculty and staff seek wellness in its many forms.

Rebel Recovery encompasses special events, wellness services, training opportunities, a committee on campus security and safety, and more.
