Registration Process

Registration for New Student Orientation is available through the Student Center on your MyUNLV account. Online registration is required for all students who plan to attend an orientation session. You will receive a confirmation message to your preferred email approximately 15 minutes after you complete the online registration.  If you have not received a confirmation email, please contact so our team can verify that your orientation registration was successfully submitted. Please do not make travel arrangements until you have successfully registered for an orientation session and received your confirmation email.

The confirmation email will include more details about your session, including check-in time and location, parking instructions, and information about how to prepare for orientation. This message will also include instructions on how to pay the Guest Orientation Fee (if applicable). You will receive an email notifying you when online orientation registration is available for your start term. The earlier you register for orientation, the better your opportunity for your first choice session. We look forward to seeing you on campus soon!

Updating Orientation Session Details & Rescheduling Orientation Date

You can edit your orientation session information or reschedule to an available orientation session through the View Orientation Registration link in your MyUNLV Student Center.  This option is only available up to five business days prior to your scheduled orientation session. 

If your scheduled orientation date has past or it is less than five business days prior to your scheduled orientation session, please email with the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Orientation session for which you are registered
  • If you need to reschedule due to an extenuating circumstance, please indicate the orientation session you would like to attend 
  • If applicable, include requested updates to current orientation reservation (e.g. dietary needs, special accommodation request, or guest information)

If the orientation date for which you were registered has passed, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to attend an alternate session. Incoming fall semester students will still receive advisement and receive a class schedule, but only after our staff has concluded serving the students who participated in New Student Orientation.
