We are excited to share that Tim Richardson, Ph.D., will be joining UNLV as our new associate vice provost for student success, with an official start date of Nov. 1, 2025. His office will be located in the Academic Success Center building.
Richardson brings over 20 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education, with a track record of driving student success initiatives, fostering collaborative partnerships, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance student outcomes. He is recognized as a strategic servant-leader, an innovative change agent, and a passionate student advocate.
Most recently at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, Richardson served as associate vice president for student success and initiatives, leading a team of 45 professional staff, 70 student workers, and nine departments, including academic advising, accessibility support, student success, testing, and writing centers. He has guided cross-functional teams and driven large-scale university initiatives focused on student success, advising, and retention.
Richardson is known for his holistic, student-centered approach and his ability to leverage data and technology to optimize support systems and processes. He is passionate about building partnerships across faculty, staff, and administrators to promote and elevate student success.
