Vehicle Repair Services Now Open

Vehicle Repair Services has officially re-opened with a refreshed space, expanded services, and enhanced processes to better support the university’s fleet.

Now part of Parking & Transportation Services, the shop provides preventative maintenance and repair services for university-owned vehicles, electric carts, and light and heavy duty equipment.

The primary focus of Vehicle Repair Services is the safety and reliability of all university vehicles. Through regularly scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance, the shop helps departments maintain compliance with state safety regulations while reducing the risk of breakdowns and costly repairs.

The shop provides routine maintenance such as oil changes, smog checks, tire inspections, brake checks, battery testing, and fluid replacement. Recent enhancements include:

  • A refreshed shop layout and upgraded equipment
  • Expanded preventative maintenance programs for vehicles and carts
  • Digital work orders, inspections, and service records
  • A clear and transparent rate structure for labor and parts
  • Additional staffing to improve communication and turnaround times

All departments with state-owned vehicles and golf carts are responsible for scheduling and completing required maintenance and annual safety inspections in accordance with state requirements. Departments are also financially responsible for maintenance and repair costs associated with their assigned vehicles and golf carts.

Vehicle Repair Services is located off Harmon Avenue and Tarkanian Way in Lot K and is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Visit the Vehicle Repair Services webpage for information on scheduling service, preventative maintenance packages, driver authorization requirements, and accident reporting procedures.
