UPDATE: February Traffic impacts on Maryland Parkway

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is continuing work on its Maryland Parkway Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in front of UNLV. Entranceways to the university and various parking lots on both the east and west side of Maryland Parkway will be impacted intermittently as work takes place in front of them.

Please be aware of the following impacts on Maryland Parkway that are expected to take place this week:

  • Paving on the west half of Maryland Parkway, between Flamingo Road and Tropicana Avenue, is scheduled through March 4. Expect additional intermittent traffic impacts as construction equipment moves through the area.
  • The following intersections will be impacted from Feb. 27 to March 4.
    • Cottage Grove will be closed at Maryland Parkway on Friday from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m.
    • Lot B access will be closed on Friday from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m.
    • Half of Maude Frazier Way at Maryland Parkway will be paved on Friday. The second half of Maude Frazier will be paved on March 4.

We encourage everyone to stay informed and to sign up to receive project updates via text or email directly from the RTC.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as the RTC works to enhance access to our campuses and the surrounding community. Read more about the Maryland Parkway BRT project on the UNLV News Center.
