UNLV Mail Center Delayed Mail

In 2025, several U.S. Post Office locations across the Las Vegas Valley closed temporarily for repairs or permanently, prompting USPS to reconfigure local routes. As a result, the UNLV Mail Center is experiencing unpredictable service, with mail arriving weeks or in some cases months after being postmarked.

The Mail Center aims to distribute all mail received by noon to the campus that day. To enhance transparency, we have implemented an internal Informed Delivery program, Received Digital, to notify recipients of mail and parcels we intercept.

We have contacted the local Postmaster General and the Sorting Hub managers regarding these service inconsistencies. We have not yet seen meaningful service improvements. We will continue reporting delayed and irregular mail to USPS.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate these service challenges. If you have questions or concerns, please email us at mailcenter@unlv.edu.
