Science is Everywhere UNLV Music Lab Tour April 25

Come learn about the musical mind! We will take you on a family-friendly “tour" of the research we do at the Auditory Cognition and Development Lab! Our research tries to understand how children learn about music and language in their culture, why music makes us want to dance, and how sounds makes us feel emotions and other feelings. We ask how music affects children's language learning and other skills, and why some sounds make us feel really good while others make us feel bad.

  • Event Date/Time: Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. - noon
  • Event Location: Campus Lab Building 2 (CLB2), UNLV
  • Target age: Grades 2-6
