The Atomic Museum offers free admission to UNLV students, staff, and faculty on Wednesdays. Visit the museum at 755 E. Flamingo Road from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last admission at 4 p.m.) to explore the atomic past, present, and future and discover the connections between science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM).
Current exhibits explore the origins of nuclear weapons during World War II’s Manhattan Project, the Nevada Test Site’s role in nuclear testing during the Cold War, and modern stockpile stewardship. Visitors can interactively explore nuclear science in Atomic Odyssey and discover the continued influence of the Atomic Age on popular culture in The World of Fallout.
