Watch Episode 13: Reality vs. Virtual Reality: Exploring Immersive Learning
The Immersive Learning Lab offers 30 VR headsets, giving faculty new ways to support hands-on, experiential learning. With VR, students can:
- Practice languages
- Explore human anatomy
- Design 3D digital art and print 3D creations
- Take part in other immersive simulations
The lab also features the Virtual Rebel Experience, a VR application built by UNLV students. It lets prospective and current students climb the gym’s rock wall and try a chemistry experiment.
The space is open to students and faculty most days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. A grand opening is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 24. More information about the grand opening celebration will be shared soon.
The Real BS About AI releases new episodes every two weeks on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. It spotlights how AI intersects with teaching, research, and everyday life at UNLV. For more information, view this episode’s article or visit UNLV’s AI website.
