Office 2024 Upgrade Begins Sep. 28

UNLV IT will upgrade Office 2021 and older versions to Office 2024 on IT-managed devices beginning Monday, September 28. For most IT-managed devices, the update will occur automatically.

  • We will send announcements with specific dates for your department or building.
  • The upgrade does not delete or change any files.
  • Please save your work and restart your computers when instructed to complete the installation.

The upgrade will bring enhanced security, improved performance, and ensure greater file compatibility across campus.

If you or a colleague relies on custom add-ins or specialized workflows tied to Office 2021, please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance before your phase begins.
