Nathan Frieders Appointed Deputy Controller

Nathan Frieders has been appointed UNLV's deputy controller, effective April 1.

As deputy controller, Frieders oversees accounting, treasury, and audit services; accounts payable; cashiering and student accounts; and maintains internal controls to ensure our organization meets its financial and operational goals with integrity and transparency.

His extensive background in accounting and his deep connection to UNLV make him the perfect fit for this role. Frieders started his career at UNLV as a student worker in 2015. His dedication and aptitude for accounting were evident from the start. Over the years, Frieders has held progressive roles including staff accountant, senior accountant, and most recently, assistant controller for accounting and audit services. 

He holds a bachelor's and master's in accounting from UNLV. His academic achievements are complemented by his status as a certified public accountant in Nevada, underscoring his commitment to excellence and professional growth.
