Maryland Parkway Construction Impacts in June

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is continuing work on its Maryland Parkway Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in front of UNLV.

Please be aware of the following impacts on Maryland Parkway from Tropicana Avenue to Flamingo Road for June:

  • Construction of sidewalks, medians, utility laterals, and lane striping.
    • Two lanes will remain open in each direction during most daytime hours.
    • Watch for intermittent traffic impacts and lane closures through the area.
    • Lane striping will take place during overnight hours.

We encourage everyone to stay informed and to sign up to receive project updates via text or email directly from the RTC.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as the RTC works to enhance access to our campuses and the surrounding community.

The heavy construction work on Maryland Parkway, in front of the main UNLV campus, is expected to be done by the end of the summer. Read more about the Maryland Parkway BRT project on the UNLV News Center.

* Due to the fluid nature of construction, this information is subject to change. We will do our best to provide timely communication if changes are necessary.
