The UNLV community is invited to attend the $10 Experience Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 12, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Pearson Community Center.
The event will feature food vendors, games, family-friendly activities, and information about health, educational, and community resources available throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
Several UNLV units will participate in the celebration, including the School of Nursing, Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies Department, Office of Government and Community Engagement, Las Vegas Urban Forest Center and Arborists-in-Training workforce development program, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, UNLV Lifelong Learning, School of Public Health, and College of Liberal Arts.
UNLV's participation is supported through a collaborative grant awarded to the School of Nursing and the Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies Department.
