John Dudley’s Retirement Celebration Dec. 18

After nearly 17 years of dedicated service to UNLV, John Dudley will be retiring and relocating to Denton, Texas. His last working day with the university will be Friday, Dec. 26, 2025.
 
Since joining UNLV, Dudley has held a variety of roles, including ERP Technical Lead, Software Engineering Services Manager, Director of Enterprise Applications, and Director of Business Continuity & Resilience. John has been instrumental in leading key initiatives such as implementing MyUNLV in coordination with all NSHE institutions, aligning and standardizing IT development teams and their governance, improving UNLV’s IT audit position through standardized procedures and responses, developing risk and impact analysis practices to better prioritize projects, selecting and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery compliance standards, and establishing procedures to gather and document BC/DR plans.

His work has left a meaningful mark on the UNLV community, and his commitment to the university’s mission, his professionalism, and his steady presence will be greatly missed.
