January Winner Administrative Faculty of the Month Award

Congratulations to Kerry Martinez, assistant director of Business Operations and Facilities, William S. Boyd Law School, for receiving the Administrative Faculty of the Month Award for January 2024.

The nominator wrote:

Kerry leads with a quiet air of competence and stability. She is the person to go to because, time and time again, she proves her commitment to helping faculty, staff, and students by responding to questions and requests for assistance in a timely manner. For 24 years, she has been committed to “Making it Happen” and has been a behind-the-scenes force in helping the law school make an impact in Nevada. As the only law school in the state, Kerry contributed to developing many of the procedures that are used today. She’s a leading source of historical information and the “why” behind our operations. She also helps us troubleshoot challenges that arise.”

The Administrative Faculty of the Month Award recognizes outstanding colleagues who go above and beyond to advance the mission of UNLV. The winning recipient receives a certificate and $150 to recognize their contributions. Nominations for the February award are due by the end of the month.
