Administrative Faculty of the Month - Nominate your colleagues

The Administrative Faculty Committee is pleased to continue its monthly award of recognizing outstanding UNLV administrative faculty. Applications are due by the last day of the month. To qualify, the administrative faculty must:

  • Be a full-time UNLV administrative faculty employee.
  • Be employed at UNLV for at least one year at the time of nomination.
  • Not have won the award within the last year.
  • Not formally disciplined within the last year.

The awardee will receive $150, a certificate, and be recognized on the AFC awards website. Winners will also be encouraged to apply for the Administrative Faculty of the Year Award.

Administrative Faculty Professional Development Awards

The Administrative Faculty Committee is currently accepting applications for Professional Development Awards. Applicants must be full-time administrative faculty.

The awards will be awarded to individuals for a professional development endeavor (to take place between December 2023- November 2024) or to be reimbursed for a professional development endeavor within the last year (October 2022- November 2023).

Several awards of up to $500 will be granted. Awards can be used to attend virtual or in-person events. The funds will apply towards numerous professional development opportunities, including conference travel, workshops, training, and certificates.

Applications are due December 22, 2023. Applicants must be full-time administrative faculty. The winners will be announced in March and recognized at AFC Professional Development Day. Winner must submit a one-page summary of the event upon completion.

Administrative Faculty of the Year Awards

The Administrative Faculty Committee invites nominations for the Senior and Junior Administrative Faculty of the Year Award. These awards recognize exemplary administrative faculty who have consistently excelled in their positions and demonstrated significant impact at the University. The two recipients of these awards will be announced at the Academic Achievement Awards Gala hosted by the President and Provost. The Recipient in each category will receive a $1,500 monetary award and headline on the AFC website. There will also be an honorable mention selected in each category and they will each receive a $500 monetary award. The Senior and Junior recipients, as well as the honorable mentions will be recognized at the Administrative Faculty Development Day in May 2024.

Senior award - administrative faculty with (8) eight years* or more of service to UNLV.

Junior award - administrative faculty with at least (1) year* of service but less than (8) eight years of service to UNLV.
