Financial Wellness Resources from NSHE and TIAA

The Nevada System of Higher Education partnered with TIAA to develop a four-part newsletter series focused on building smart money habits, understanding credit and debt, and beginner investing. The first edition (details below) includes links to resources and on-demand webinars.

Being smart with money isn't about being perfect. It's not about having all the answers or starting with a lot. It's about deciding. Deciding to know where your money goes. Deciding to save consistently. Deciding to build habits that move you forward.

Every dollar you save today has time to grow. That's not hype, that's math. Small habits like tracking spending, setting one clear goal, or automating savings can change everything. Not overnight, but with consistency. You don't need to overhaul your life. Just upgrade a few habits. Start where you are. Improve one thing. Build from there.

Get started today:

  1. Create a spending plan and start tracking where your money is going.
  2. Tune in. Short on time? Watch TIAA’s 2-minute YouTube video 5 Essentials Budgeting Fundamentals for Financial Success. Have more time? Tune into a 30-minute webinar: Build Smart Financial Habits for Success.
  3. Get support from TIAA at no additional cost — try the Retirement Journey Planner or schedule time to talk through your plan with a consultant

Look forward to part two next week!
