We're currently looking to recruit individuals who are currently pregnant with a singleton pregnancy (one child). Participants must be 18 years or older and have no contraindication to daily-living-level activity in pregnancy. This research aims to characterize physical activity and movement patterns throughout pregnancy and the initial postpartum period.
If you choose to participate, the study will involve (1) questionnaires taking approximately 20-40 minutes, (2) a Timed Up and Go test taking about 5-10 minutes, and (3) a squat movement test lasting 10–15 minutes (Videotaping). These activities will occur during the third trimester (28week-delivery) and again at 5-10 weeks postpartum. A squat movement test will be video recorded for research purposes.
Data collection will take place at the UNLV Sports Injury Research Center (Paul McDermott Physical Education - Building G: MPE-G) on UNLV’s main campus. Participants will receive a $25 Amazon gift card after the completion of each data collection ($50 total). Data collection will occur once during the third trimester (28 weeks-delivery) and once between 5-10 weeks postpartum.
