As part of the roof replacement project at the Barrick Museum, Planning & Construction would like to keep the university community up to date regarding the additional use of a construction crane at the site scheduled for July 7-10.
The crane will return to campus a second time and is expected to arrive at 4 a.m. on July 7. The crane will be positioned on the pathway between the Harry Reid Center and the Lied Library, and will not impact parking in Lot I. The crane will be in use daily until its removal on July 10.
Each occurrence is executing specific work on the project. The first visit was to remove the existing mechanical units from the roof. The second visit will be to remove construction debris and deliver new construction materials to the rooftop.
Daily working hours for the project will be in double shifts from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., and 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. Please follow all posted signage in the area for your safety.
Thank you for your ongoing patience and support as we work to modernize systems and improve our campus building resources.
