5th Annual Sunrise Ceremony Aug. 22

Begin the academic year in community at UNLV’s 5th Annual Sunrise Ceremony, presented by the UNLV American Indian Alliance in partnership with Student Connection & Engagement.

Rooted in American Indian and Indigenous traditions, the Sunrise Ceremony brings together faculty, staff, students, alumni, tribal leaders, and community members for a meaningful start to the academic year. Gather in reflection, gratitude, and connection while honoring the original stewards of the land UNLV calls home.

Faculty and staff are especially encouraged to attend, connect with colleagues and students, and help welcome our campus community into the new academic year.
