Office of Graduate Medical Education News

The graduate medical education (GME) program trains residents and fellows to become outstanding specialists and subspecialists who help address Nevada’s physician shortage. They provide supervised patient care at University Medical Center (UMC), our primary teaching hospital, and at other community sites including the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Mike O’Callahan Military Medical Center, and more.
