Brendan J. O'Toole, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at UNLV, recently was selected by the Society of Automotive Engineers Inc. to receive its Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award.

O'Toole was one of 15 engineering educators from universities across the country to receive the 1996 Teetor award from the national organization. The Teetor award is presented to young, outstanding engineering educators.

O'Toole has been at UNLV since 1992.
