The University of Nevada, Las Vegas has removed a statue of its "Hey Reb!" mascot from in front of its alumni center following outcry from student groups, including the Native American Student Association. The bronze statue is expected to be returned to its donors.

The bronze Hey Reb! statue was removed Tuesday from UNLV’s campus. But the school’s Rebels nickname and mascot are still in place. For now.

Applications are now available for the County’s Small Business Stabilization Grant, which will help local small businesses affected by coronavirus-related closures and restrictions.
