Honors: Wonda Riner

Wonda Riner (Medicine) recently was named one of the top tech executives in Las Vegas by Vegas Inc. and Cox Business.

Director of information technology for the School of Medicine, Riner was selected as the Top Tech Executive in the Health Care category and was honored during an event at the Smith Center in November. She has been a key player in the school’s development. For example, she and a team of IT professionals transitioned — or physically touched — approximately 700 computers, moving them from the UNR domain to the newly created UNLV Medicine domain in less than 52 hours. Since then, she and her team have been busy building technical infrastructure to support the school, its 21 medical clinics, and roughly 1,000 employees.
