UNLV’s Collegiate 100 chapter earned third place in the National Collegiate 100 Workforce Development Challenge at the 40th Annual 100 Black Men of America National Convention in New York City.

Students Guylan Belser and Ryan Staples presented the team’s award-winning project, “Future Workforce Readiness Playbook: Economic Resilience in the Age of AI — Preparing Black Students to Lead the Next Workforce Era.” Developed by Belser, Staples, and Skylah Jackson-Buford, the playbook outlines strategies to prepare students for an evolving workforce through AI literacy, career readiness, mentorship, industry partnerships, and entrepreneurship.

The competition brought together Collegiate 100 chapters nationwide to develop solutions focused on workforce readiness and economic opportunity.
