Tina Brandon Abbatangelo (Dental Medicine) and Ms. Nevada 2016, represented the Silver State during the 2017 Ms. America Pageant, which was held during the Labor Day weekend. She won the “Power of the Crown” award acknowledging the positive impact that winning the state title has made in her life. In addition to continuing her community service with many local organizations and speaking to young women interested in health professions, Dr. Brandon Abbatangelo will continue her work with the Peter Emily International Veterinary Dental Foundation, and as president of the Southern Nevada Dental Society. She was also one of 16 professionals chosen to the American Dental Association's Institute for Diversity in Leadership, representing Nevada at the national level for organized dentistry.
