Presentation: Tina Brandon Abbatangelo

Dr. Tina Brandon Abbatangelo (Dental) accepted an invitation by the American Dental Association to speak at its annual meeting during the first SmileCon event.

Modeled after the popular TED Talks, SmileCon featured three speakers who shared insight from their lives and careers. Brandon Abbatangelo, after completing a preparation course led by TED trainers, gave two presentations. The first, titled “Lions, and tigers, and bears . . . oh my! And Toto, too” focused on animal dentistry and the similarities and differences in the oral cavity between humans and animals.

The second, titled “DENT Talk: Finding your passion,” centered on her own journey through life and finding her passions through dentistry. She  shared her experiences as a volunteer treating exotic animals with the Peter Emily International Veterinary Dental Foundation, and encouraged attendees to get out of their comfort zones and try something new.
