The Student Health Clinic (SHC) Laboratory has been selected as a recipient of the COLA Laboratory Excellence Award as a result of their recent rigorous on-site laboratory survey. COLA Inc. is a leading national laboratory accreditor, whose program and standards enable clinical laboratories and staff to meet United States Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) and other regulatory requirements. This award signifies the SHC Laboratory's commitment to performing quality patient testing and superior overall laboratory practices. The Laboratory Excellence Award is achieved by those COLA laboratories that are compliant with all COLA essential and required criteria at the time of their on-site survey. In addition, award recipients must have demonstrated successful proficiency testing for the prior three testing events and have no substantiated complaints against the laboratory.
