The Residence Hall Association (Residential Life) won the regional "Spotlight of the Month" award for April from the Intermountain Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls. The spotlight featured the association's presidential debate from this semester with three undergraduate candidates for the 2017-18 UNLV Residence Hall Association president-at-large position. The debate was streamed lived on Facebook and had viewers from coast to coast and even internationally in South Korea. This year's election saw a 24 percent voter turnout with more than 400 votes cast from residents.
