Rachel De Vera (Engineering) was one of three writers awarded $100 for their ekphrastic poetry inspired by the Plantasia gallery at the Clark County Government Center’s Rotunda Gallery. De Vera performed her winning piece during a public reading at the gallery’s community reception on Sept. 4. Remarkably, this marks the third time she has won this competition, showcasing her continued talent and connection to visual art through poetry. This opportunity was made possible by Clark County Public Arts.
